Activities

One of the goals of The N.U.in Program is to foster and develop a strong community. The Global Experience staff collaborate to plan weekly free or low-cost activities, which vary year-to-year.

In the past, students have participated in the following types of activities:

  • Trips to local museums and historic sites
  • Cook-off competitions to showcase cooking skills learned during the semester
  • Open Mic Night to show off talents and cheer on others

Transportation

The public transportation system is the easiest and most efficient way to get around Boston.  While navigating the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Subway (the T) and bus system may be an initial adjustment, students will learn the routes quickly. Metro passes are called, “Charlie Cards” in Boston and provide access to both the subway and the public bus system.
