One of the goals of The Program is to foster and develop a strong community among its members. The American College of Thessaloniki and staff collaborate to plan weekly, free, or low-cost activities, which vary year-to-year.

In the past, students have participated in several types of activities. Some examples include:

  • Thessaloniki boat cruise
  • Cook-off competitions to showcase cooking skills learned during the semester
  • Open Mic Night to show off talents and cheer on others

Student housing is located approximately 20 minutes away from the ACT campus by shuttle or taxi. On weekdays, students can take a complimentary shuttle between the housing and the ACT campus in the morning and late afternoon. students can also take a taxi for less than $10 USD.

Thessaloniki has a modern bus system with numerous routes. All students are issued a monthly bus pass for unlimited use of the public bus system. Buses can take students to the domestic bus terminal, the downtown area, or to destinations well outside of the city.
