N.U.in Czech Republic students live in Hotel Beranek, which is located a short five-minute walk from the UNYP Campus.
Amenities: Each room is shared by two or three students, and is equipped with standard furnishings as well as a private bathroom with a shower. Bed linens, comforters, pillows, towels, and wireless internet are provided. Weekly cleaning services are provided, though students are expected to keep their spaces tidy.
Common Areas: There are several study spaces available to students at UNYP:
- Hotel Beranek: There is one shared dining space and one shared lounge space with tables and chairs for students to utilize.
- Library: The UNYP library is an excellent study space. There is a silent study room on the upper floor of the library, which suits students who wish to study in a quiet environment.
- Café: The UNYP Café is a popular place for students to get work done in an easily-accessible location in the main academic building.
- UNYP Student Lounge: As with the Café, the Student Lounge is a common space for students to socialize. Many students choose to study and work in this space.
Meals: Students do not have access to kitchen facilities in their accommodations. Breakfast and dinner are provided daily for students at the hotel, with options available for many dietary needs. Cafes and restaurants are numerous around campus and easily accessible for lunch.
Laundry: Students do not have access to laundry machines in the hotel to do their own laundry. Laundry service is available for a fee at nearby laundromats.
Mail: Students can have mail sent directly to Hotel Beranek. Students will receive the hotel address and instructions on how to label mail during on-site orientation. Hotel staff will hold mail at reception for students to pick up at their convenience.
Fitness: UNYP provides free access to a gym near campus, Hit Fitness Flora. By presenting your UNYP ID cards, you can access the locker room, showers, sauna, gym, fitness machines, and fitness classes (spinning, kickboxing, Zumba, yoga, etc.). You also have access to swimming facilities, including both indoor and outdoor pools.
