Academic Resources Abroad
Tutoring and additional support are available to all students. Please reach out–ACT faculty, staff, and peers are ready to help. The following resources are available to you through ACT:
Bissell Library: ACT’s Bissell Library is one of the largest private learning resource centers in Southeast Europe. It operates according to the published schedule. Highlights include dedicated reference librarians, an extensive online and print collection, and study space for individual and group studying. The Bissell Library is also home to the Learning Hub tutoring center where students can walk in or book an appointment with academic tutors or for writing support.
Faculty Support: ACT Professors offer tutoring and extra help during their weekly office hours as listed in the syllabus.
Student Government Association (SGA): Academic Liaison & Class Representative: The SGA’s Academic Liaison and Class Representatives are well informed about ACT’s resources and can help guide students to the support that is right for them. The Liaison can also accompany a student to an appointment to help ease any nervousness about going for the first time.
Northeastern Peer Tutoring on Knack: Northeastern has partnered with Knack, a leading peer tutoring platform, to offer free peer tutoring to all Northeastern undergraduate students across its global network. All Northeastern peer tutors on the Knack platform are successful current upper-class undergraduate students, and a number of them are N.U.in alumni. You can request a peer tutor for your courses on Knack by searching for the NU equivalent course title and/or course code. For questions about Northeastern Peer Tutoring on Knack, please reach out at [email protected].
Learning Disabilities
If you require accommodations during your time in N.U.in Greece, you must apply through Disability Access Services at Northeastern University. The Disability Access Services will then work with the partner institution on accommodation requests. Students should also speak to their professors individually to alert them of any approved accommodations.
If you have any specific questions about the accommodations process overall, please reach out to the Disability Access Services.
