Orientations

As an N.U.in student, you will have three orientations throughout your participation in the program:

  • N.U.in Pre-Departure Orientation
  • On-location Orientation once you have arrived in your host location (see the “On-location Orientation” section for your specific program)
  • Husky 101 Student and Family Orientation on Northeastern’s Boston campus (January 2023) hosted by the Office of Student Orientation and Family Programs

N.U.in Pre-Departure Orientation

N.U.in students are required to participate in Pre-Departure Orientation this summer (2022), which will be offered as a series of mandatory online learning modules and an optional one day in-person experience on Northeastern’s main campus in Boston.

Delivered in separate installments throughout the summer, the N.U.in Pre-Departure Orientation online learning modules will allow students to review important information to prepare for their N.U.in experience on their own schedule. Online orientation modules will cover critical information such as Northeastern academics and resources, health and safety considerations, and information about life in your selected program location.

The mandatory online portion of Pre-Departure Orientation will be paired with an optional in-person opportunity for incoming N.U.in students this summer. During the optional in-person portion of Pre-Departure orientation, students will be able to come together on Northeastern’s Boston campus to celebrate the upcoming N.U.in Fall 2022 semester and get a head-start on their N.U.in experience by spending time with program partners, program staff, and fellow students on campus.
