SLU-Madrid is the European campus of Saint Louis University (SLU), founded in 1818, making it one of the oldest and most prestigious Catholic universities in the United States. An innovator in international education, the Madrid Campus is widely recognized for its highly rigorous and transformative American educational programs. The campus is home to over 900 students from the United States, Spain and more than 65 other countries, which means the SLU-Madrid experience is about much more than academics: it’s about broadening your horizons and preparing you for your future.
The primary language of instruction is English, with some courses available in Spanish. The campus emphasizes small class sizes, averaging 16 students, fostering a close-knit and personalized learning environment. The Madrid campus offers a diverse range of programs, particularly strong in liberal arts, business, engineering, health sciences, and humanities.
